Theodosia Marchant

Theodosia Marchant is a Greek-British artist whose expressive figurative paintings explore the emotional and psychological dimensions of human existence. Born in Athens and currently based in London, Marchant lived and worked in Los Angeles for over a decade, where she developed her distinctive visual language.

Her work merges the human body with elements of nature, ornament, and domestic space, creating layered compositions where figures intertwine with foliage, hair, and symbolic forms. Through bold colour palettes, stylised lines, and intentionally two-dimensional spaces, Marchant investigates themes of sexuality, identity, intimacy, and the complexity of human emotion from a female perspective.
